The New Girls, Goodbyes, and one more thing...

I hope you are as excited as I am- today we reveal the new girls who are joining the Runway Inspired Challenge Design Team!  Below you will find out a little bit about them, as well as their favorite clothing and/or accessories :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, my name is Nina Yang. It is an honored to be here with the amazing design team of Runway Inspired Challenges. I have been interested in stationary and packaging design since a little girl. Paper crafting and stamping came after I started working from home in 2011. Fun & cute, clean & simple are my favorite styles. I hope to offer something new or inspiring in each of my projects.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Pamela and I came from Hong Kong, but moved to Canada at a very young age.  I am currently working in an Engineering company by day and a part-time accounting student by night.  I started arts and crafts when I first learned how to knit and crochet from my mom. Since then, I have also done beading, acrylic painting and web graphic designing. Many of my friends often wonder why I chose to major in accounting in university!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Hello! I am Tasnim. I grew up in Saudi Arabia and moved to USA in 2006 to pursue my undergraduate studies. In 2010, I completed my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Following my graduation, I moved to Long Island where I now live with my husband and our baby daughter.
I have always loved arts and crafts. As a child, I made cards, collected stickers and always looked forward to attending my favorite class; ART. I discovered stamping in 2011 and since then my collection of stamps has grown exponentially! With so many inspiring blogs out there, I decided to start one myself earlier this year. I like to make clean and neat cards, usually with an interesting focal point. However, I do admire other styles and find inspiration in other people’s work. I am both excited and humbled to be joining the Runway design team. I hope to inspire others to share and develop their creativity through art.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I am Virginia Lu from Ontario, Canada. I could not be more thrilled to be part of the Design Team for Runway Inspired Challenge! I have been a huge fan of RIC since this challenge blog started and each and every time I participated, I learned a bit more about card design and style. I have been an avid card maker since 2008 and have enjoyed my paper crafting journey since.  My favourite style is Clean and Simple. I like to add a “wow” factor to my cards as it gives the receivers a lasting impression and a sense of delight and charm. I hope to spread the love of this challenge blog so that you will feel as inspired as I do!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I am a scrapbooker and cardmaker, a mom of 4 and a nurse practitioner, a analyzer, a worrier, and pretty darn funny if I do say so myself! I consider my design aesthetic "fresh CAS".  RIC was the first challenge I ever entered when I started my blog in January of 2012. (I lost, bummer). I shop at TJ Maxx and could never fit into any of these runway outfits ;) My personal decorating aesthetic is BEACHORADO (also the title of my blog) which combines my love of beachy natural tones and the Colorado rustic vibe, the state which I now live.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

An awesome group, right?!  Please welcome them to the team by leaving them a comment here or on their blogs!! :)

Sadly, along with the exciting new additions, we will be saying goodbye to two of our designers- Cristina Kowalczyk and Sarah Jay.  I want to thank both of you for being so amazing and for helping me launch the Runway Inspired Challenge by joining the DT.  I'll miss you both!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

One last thing- I wanted to let you know that we will have a Guest Designer for one challenge each month!  Our first (top secret!) guest will be joining us on December 4th along with the new DT members!  See you then!!

a quick announcement

I wanted to express a sincere thank you to the girls who applied to be on the Runway Inspired Challenge Design Team.  We received many excellent applications, and as fun as it was to review each one to see your amazing talents, it was extremely difficult to select who would be added to the team.  Sadly, as is the case with any DT call, many skilled paper crafters had to be turned down.  We hope you continue to play along with the challenge, since you inspire us every time!

We have already been in contact with the girls who were chosen and we are so excited to introduce you to them!  They will be revealed on Tuesday November 27th. Other fun announcements will be coming that day as well  :)
